Jean Philippe: Biker, Off The Tracks Athlete and lover of Motorcycle Roadtrips

At 50 this year, with 32 years of experience in the motorcycle world, JP embodies the intrepid spirit and the all-consuming passion for motorcycle roadtrips.

His journey began on a 1989 XTZ 600 Ténéré trail, but he didn't stop there. Jean Philippe then explored the world of motocross, riding a beautiful Kawazaki 125 KX and a KTM 125 SX. For five years, he participated in the Alsace motocross championship, as well as an event at the French cross country championship, testing his technique on the most demanding tracks. But that was just the beginning of an adventure that took him through a variety of terrains...and motorcycles!

Lover of challenges, after this foray into the world of motocross, Jean Philippe returned to road motorcycling with a 1993 CB500. But his intrepid spirit quickly led him to explore new horizons. He then took possession of a 1989 CBR600 used in full Stunt, before returning to the road with a CBR 600 FS (road and stunt), juggling between performance on the track and rides on winding roads.

But the love of Jean Philippe for Honda motorcycles does not stop there. This also includes two other CB500s, a vintage CBX750, a WRF 450 enduro and even a CB1300 for long roadtrips.

In 2022, however, Jean Philippe felt the irresistible call off the beaten track, bringing him back to his roots by opting for a CRF1100 Africa Twin Adventure Sport model 2021. This decision marks a return to his roots for Mototriptrix, confirming its unwavering attachment to discovery and freedom.

Jeans Philippe is not just a biker, he is a real adventurer! He travels the roads and trails, exploring unknown places aboard his trusty Africa Twin. His daring spirit has led him to participate in emblematic sporting events such as the well-known Hard Défi Tour, the Ultra Rando Trail and the Road Occitan.

For the year 2024, Jeans Philippe has already charted his path. On the program: the Green Rally, great outings with friends, and unmissable events like the Ultra Rando Trail, the Hard Défi Tour, the Trail Adventure Days and the Alpes Adventure Moto Festival, an event that he has never missed for three years.

With more than 16,000 kilometers on the odometer of his Honda Africa Twin, 80% of which off-road on the TET and on various and varied paths , JP truly embodies the spirit of the adventurous biker. For him, the return to off-roading is obvious. There are so many things to discover, so many landscapes to explore, far from the constraints of the road.
